Overview

The Clicking Generation - ICT Academy for kids and teens is a social enterprise that offers computing and technology curriculum to kids and teens in both urban and rural areas of Botswana. Our curriculum offers STEM and technology related exploration to underserved learners who are future technology creators of socially relevant ICT solutions. Early child technology education is key if young innovators are going to become global player in the digital economy.

Mission statement

The Clicking Generation intends to deliver the most appropriate computing skills and knowledge of ICT aspects to Batswana using appropriate interactive learning techniques.

Africa Code Week is the story of hundreds of schools, teachers, governments, and non-profits getting together to bridge the digital and gender skills gap in Africa.

eSkills for Girls

#eSkills4Girls is an initiative started under the German G20 presidency with the aim to tackle the existing gender digital divide.

StemBuddies

Technology/ICT Literacy Project for Women and Girls in rural and remote areas of Botswana. Sponsored by the U.S Embassy in Botswana the project adopts approaches to creative thinking and STEM Mentorship with female industry leaders.

TechShop

The aim of Techshop was to introduce participants to the different ways of telling stories using technology. The workshops included activities on how to create e-books, how to create and effectively use blogs to publish own stories and how to locate and join online creative writing groups.

PARC Robotic Competitions

The Pan-African Robotic Competition (PARC) is an annual competition for robotics teams in Africa and its diaspora. The goal of the competition is to inspire the youth while promoting STEM education. PARC prepares the youth to use science and technology to address societal challenges. Each year, competing teams are given challenges based on real-world topics relevant to science, engineering and the sustainable development of Africa.
